Each student will progress at their own rate, so you may complete quicker than the timeframe given below:

Question:

What is Moderation, and how long does it take?

(Last edited: Thursday, 29 April 2021, 12:55 PM)
Answer:

Moderation is an internal process where a Tutor/Marker's work is sampled to ensure standards and quality processes are met.

We do not sample any work that is more than 3 months old. Once you have submitted your last assessment your work will remain in the moderation stage for 1 month, in case your last assessment is reviewed.

Although it is not your work that is being moderated, if areas of improvement are identified or where an answer should have been referred to you then your assessment may be returned to you to make changes.

If you have any further questions regarding Moderation please contact the Online Learning Team via the form below:

Question:

I can't print my certificate, can you help?

(Last edited: Wednesday, 15 November 2023, 9:17 AM)
Answer:

For a Moodle course you are studying within this current session, we can request a paper certificate to be sent out to you.  If the request is for a course outwith the current session we cannot provide a copy but please contact us and we will be able to send you a student record report with proof of your result for the course.

For an Awarding Body course e.g. a Level 2 or 3 course all certificates are now e-certificates from the awarding body.  If you require a hard copy certificate there may be a charge for this

If you would still like to request a paper copy of your certificate please contact the Online Learning Team via the form below:

For most of our courses you do not need any previous qualifications. However, as most of our courses are delivered online it would be beneficial if you had a basic competence in IT and the internet.
